eh, technically I think it’s just corporatism. Fascism would involve more jingoistic nationalism I believe.

But really, the government as corporate entity has existed for much much longer than this in the form of the Fannie/Freddie Mae deal and several other public works ventures. This just happens to be the most blatant government buy out of a private firm in recent memory. I don’t think there’s technically anything legally wrong with the government buying out a publicly traded company if congress approves the expenditures. Perhaps there may be moral or traditional objections…

Logical reasonable follows to irrational first steps don’t always take you down the sweetest paths.

And it seems like the gov having that much of a hold on a “private” company that he could axe its officer because no other shareholder had that many votes is the state literally holding sway over any other individual or groups of individuals.

It is like getting drunk and getting sick. You get mad when you get sick, but the whole time you were drinking. But the problem here is that an amorphous blob is pouring liquor down your throat.

i don’t think potus, being the CEO of the largest Venture Capital share holder of that private business can be considered fascist for requesting the resignation of the CEO of GM.

That action wasn’t fucked. The government giving billions of dollars to GM in the first place because GM asked for them was.

This is a logical reasonable follow on to an irrational first step.

i don’t know about a heterosexual man, but lesbians sure do like to fight other lesbians. i witnessed three or four lesbian fights at leroys on monday, not really the place you’d expect that. well, the fights i guess you would expect there, not so much the lesbians.
